ZACH PATTON
Zach knows that each project is unique and will present its own set of unique challenges. Problem solving and eliminating road blocks is the name of the game for him. “Discipline equals freedom” is a motto that has become a way of life for Zach. Attention to detail and driving to completion is how Zach ensures deadlines are met and quality work is produced. Home building has also taken Zach across Tennessee. He and his wife, Lindsay, had their daughter, Palmer, in 2019 while starting a new division in Knoxville for a regional builder. After three years in East Tennessee, they moved back to his hometown of Nashville, where they have since welcomed three more kids, Warner, Beau, and Cline. In 2022, Zach was awarded 40 Under 40 by ProBuilder Magazine.
PATRICK PATTON
“It is an incredible feeling of accomplishment to stand back and admire a finished product in which countless hours and effort have been invested, but it is that time and energy spent examining the finest details that make me most proud of a project.” Patrick realized early in his career that his passion for his work was fueled by the step-by-step process of building from the ground up, whether it is building a home, cultivating a relationship with a homeowner, or developing a team as a leader. When Patrick isn’t working, you’ll find him coaching baseball, soccer, and passing on some dance moves to his kids (Isla, Declan, and Nelly) that they will most likely be embarrassed of later in life! Patrick, his wife Laura, and the kids also love chasing Waker, their five-year-old Golden Retriever, through the neighborhood when the door gets left open by accident!
TAYLOR MILLIKEN
“In business, there are few better feelings than growing a team that loves what they do and the smile on a client’s face when you’ve built something that exceeds their expectations.” Taylor is one of the unicorn natives that was born and raised in Gallatin, TN. He started his first company at the age of 19, where he fell in love with customer service. He quickly found that if you work hard and identify a set of values that you live by and align your company with, you create success for your clients, team, and yourself. When he’s not at work he enjoys training for his next triathlon, reading a great book, or spending time with his family. He is married to Samantha and they have three children, Gunnar, Scout, and Remi.
AARON KLEIN
“I’m a process guy who believes that servant-based leadership is more than just a cliche that goes along with what we do, but is truly a way of life. You win and lose in life with people, so I’m constantly challenging myself to be the best I can be for those around me day-by-day.” Aaron has found that his greatest joy in homebuilding is listening to what homeowners want and making their home a place they’re proud of and absolutely love to be; “it’s what I would want someone to do for me.” Born and raised in Nebraska, Aaron has lived in several spots throughout the country and has loved finally finding home in Nashville for the last four years. When he’s not at work, you can find him reliving the glory days as a former athlete by playing sports or doing something active, playing music, working in a local ministry with his wife, Callie, and occasionally yelling at their two-year-old Cavapoo with too much doodle energy: Charlie.
AUSTIN PATTERSON
Born and raised in Gallatin, TN, Austin spent his college years in Knoxville where he earned a degree in Marketing and Sales from the University of Tennessee. Austin’s interest in homebuilding stems from his background in real estate, which is where he began to develop a love and passion for watching the homeowner’s dream come to life. Austin is a details guy and loves to dig into the notes and processes required to get a home from beginning to end, “no detail is too big or too small when it comes to turning someone’s vision into reality.” When he isn’t working, you will find Austin fishing with his dad, spending time in the gym, and trying his best to consistently break 90 on the golf course! He and his wife, Ashlyn, were married in November 2023 and have a Miniature Dachshund, with a big dog personality, named Tucker.
DEREK THRUMAN
Derek joins the Blackwolf Build team with a combination of experience in production building and high-end custom homes. He takes great pride in working with all stakeholders to create the home they envisioned from start to finish. Derek places great emphasis on attention to detail and is an advocate for doing things in the most sensible way possible. He also prioritizes making sure all involved parties feel their thoughts, concerns, and visions are always heard. Outside of work, Derek enjoys spending time with his family, running, and Sunday football. Originally from Wisconsin, Derek is a big Packers fan but can talk with you all day about any team. Derek is also looking forward to becoming a parent with his wife, Micaela, for their baby boy that is due in March of 2025!
BRODY MULLINS
Brody has nearly 10 years of experience in residential construction and takes pride in delivering quality work with a strong eye for detail. He enjoys being part of the homebuilding process and works hard to make sure each project is completed with care and craftsmanship. Brody values clear communication and believes that even the smallest details make a big difference when building a home. His steady approach, experience, and focus on doing things right help create homes that are not only well-built, but feel just right for the families that move into them. When he’s not on a job site, Brody enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and their two Boxers, Kona and Piper. He also likes to relax with a good book or get out on the golf course as often as he can.
MIKE SHAW
Mike joined the Blackwolf team in 2026, bringing over a decade of hands-on residential experience and a deep passion for building science. Detail-oriented and team-focused, Mike thrives on the full process of building custom homes—from initial design collaboration to final walkthrough. He prioritizes working closely with clients to craft healthy, energy-efficient, and long-lasting residences that stand the test of time in Middle Tennessee’s unique climate. Committed to precision, quality craftsmanship, and collaborative problem-solving, Mike ensures every project delivers exceptional integrity and client satisfaction—one thoughtful detail at a time.
